New Student Information

Welcome new Kenmore Parents!

Please take a moment to review the following document on the immunizations that are necessary for students in the Northshore School District:
Required Immunizations for School Year 2021-2022 (English and Spanish)

Once you have reviewed the above document please continue to Section 2.

Parents, please complete and return the following form(s) to the school nurse before fall 2021 so we may update your student's health records:

1. NSD Health Registration Form (required for all students entering 6th grade)
2. CIS Form if your child has any immunization updates: a copy of a Health Care Provider record documenting vaccines given must be attached to this form or the HCP may sign and stamp the CIS form.
3. Medication Authorization Form: Complete a Medication Authorization Form if your student will need medications to be given at school during school hours next year.

Once these forms have been completed and returned to Mrs. Thompson you are all done. But please feel free to review the letters in the Section 3 if you like.

The driveways and parking lots are marked on the ground and on signs with directions for traffic flow. Following the directions will protect students walking through the parking lot and move traffic quickly. 

• Parents dropping off students must not block the drive-through.
• If your student(s) need extra time to unload, please park in one of the marked spaces.
• At no time are you to enter the marked Bus Zone.
• Never park in a fire lane
• Always use the Exit, never leave through the entrance. 

• Visitors and parents MUST make an appointment and check-in at the main office PRIOR to visiting a teacher and/or classroom. "Dropping in" to meet with a teacher during school hours is not allowed, including before and after school. Teachers will make appointments with you to discuss concerns you may have regarding your student.
• Anytime a parent or visitor is on campus, you must check-in the main office and get a Visitor badge. We do not accept flowers, gifts, or balloons for students during the school day. Students are not allowed to have them in the classroom and cause a distraction for other students.
• Kenmore Middle School has a very strict "Closed Campus" rule in place to protect your children. Other forms of communication you may use are voicemail or email to contact a teacher.

Yes, students will receive lockers with combination locks are provided for storing backpacks and lunches.

• Orchestra and Band instruments will be stored in those classrooms. 
• Separate baskets with locks are used in the Health & Fitness locker rooms for Physical Education clothing. 

• Cell phones are NOT allowed in the classroom
• No cell phones are to be used at any time during school hours.
• Cell phones will be confiscated until the end of the day upon failure to comply. 

If your student will be taking any medication including Tylenol, cough drops, or Vitamins you must confer with the school nurse.

Perhaps the most appreciated assistance is the regular on-time attendance of each and every student. Additionally Kenmore Middle School has PTSA, booster clubs, and other opportunities such as vision and hearing screening where volunteers are warmly welcomed.
